MY MBTI TEST DISCUSSION
The MBTI is a test which measure your preferences in four separate categories to describe your own personality type. The preferences are our natural tendencies for performing certain tasks.The personality type are made up in four areas or in other word there are four preferences scales.
The first one is where we can get the energy or where we focus on our attention. My own preference is extroversion which kind of type describe the person whose action will over the reflection. it says i will prefer to talk with people or doing some social work instead of thinking through to gain exactly understands.
The next group is describe the people’s approaches to gather information. My type is using the intuition to gather information which means this kind of person are looking for the existed pattern or relationship to got the messages they need.Same time they can look towards the beyond of the surface, they saw something from the abstract way instead of the five senses.They actually pay attention to look the big picture in other word they do not focus on more details.
The third one describe the ways or angles people they make decisions. I am one of person who are use feeling to make a decision. This type of person are more likely to base on their own values instead of the analysis in logical way. It is not the meaning of emotional but it just kind of person who use their personal beliefs to decide something. They like to make this world more harmonious and kindly not pursuit in the fair or logic.
The last one is talking about how people live in their everyday life. I do more preference on perceiving than judging. I don’t like follow my plan certainly. I am more like a person who enjoy the flexible and optional. Just follow the nature. Additionally, this kind of person always finish their tasks or projet at the deadline, for example i am just stat doing this quiz one day before the due. So this kind of person are unconstrained with the pattern or schedule.
FFI stands the meaning of the five factor model which give you different levels of your five basic traits which determined human personality. The first one is named neuroticism. High level of this kind of personality of people are more likely to have the negative emotion and tend to easily fall in pressure. The low level (N-)of neuroticism person like me always have a positive attitude towards everywhere. We don’t mind stressful work situations and tend to work in people-oriented occupations like managers teachers. High leadership could be find as a characteristic in this kind of level of people.
The second one is named extraversion which one described the levels in suiting or feeling comfortable within external stimulation and the restrain within external society, also we can define it as how you tolerate sensory stimulation. High level (E+)people like me are optimistic, outgoing, excited, active. They like to talk and stay together with amount of people in which way they can get more excitement and cheerful. This kind of people are more likely to work in business and industry careers which occupations tend to focus on the socially-oriented. Dealing with others and do as a team work much more easier than the opposite group which named introversion.
The third factor is openness which means the level of curiosity versus comfort with familiar territory. In this factor i got average level(O). In my opinion, moderate openness people can suit or get comfort for the new experiences, have active imaginations and prefer the variety and intellectual curiosity. But at the same time they want to follow the existed pattern ore just want to repeat action as past. They do not have much senses of practical or in other word down to earth as the less open to new ideas people, but they also do not have much more critical or new ideas as person who are very open as well. They just stand between the open and inflexible people.
The forth factor is agreeableness. The high level(A+) i got in agreeableness means person who are willing to help other or cooperate with each others. They are understanding and considerate. The situations they prefer are not competition but cooperate. As me, i like to work as could allows me to impact human needs instead of jobs which are just dealing with the data and concepts rather than people. Furthermore, this kind of person like to find somewhere their contributions could be respected as extensions of themselves and their worth and value.
Finally, the last factor is conscientiousness. It talks about how you focus on work and goals. I am the low scorers(C-) person who can be described as tending to achieve the goals relaxed, spontaneous and open-ended way. The people in this type are more likely to want to own freedom and flexibility, they do not have much more organized and responsibilities as people who have strong conscientiousness. Further, they need fun and humor in the environment they live, so mabe they will behave like they treat deadlines guidelines even rules with flexibility or neglect.
As i have already mentioned the score in each test i got, now if i just compare those results, surprisingly, so similar between these two kinds of consequences. Actually, exactly match with the results give me a good idea or good opportunity to define myself again. General type of person the tasks give me are same but still have different in terms of different areas they compared. Personally, i like the FFI results much more, in other word, i think FFI tasks could better fit me although almost same answer they give me from MBTI test. I could pick up five key words within the results which could totally suit or described me very much. Positive, sociable,openness with conventional,cooperative,unorganized. These five words apply in every spaces in my life. I always towards everything in my life in a positive perspective, i like smile, i like the feeling when i smile to others, even i feel much more stress and pressure will give driven to give me more energy to figure out the problem. Then, i described my self as an outgoing and talkative person cause i like to work with group where i can find more energy and cheerful than alone. Furthermore, as i like to work with person and more sociable than others so i think i have good abilities in cooperating with others and understanding what the other’s thought or just readily cann stand in different view points to give other help. All in all it can be concluded that i am an extraversion and agreeableness one. Additionally, i have lots of weakness as i just always finish the tasks before the day of the deadline and do not care what will going on in the next step or just same meaning like i do not care what will happen in the next week cause i do not always follow my plan even i could not have highly responsible for my own business. They are all means i am not a person who have strong organized, i defined those characteristic as weakness, i know actually they have some positive role like just have some optional choices or live a life in relaxable lifestyle. Although i will described those feature as defects which in a word like less conscientiousness. As for openness, i am the middle scores person, interestingly, my score is the middle scores within the ranges of average scores. So i am the person who have both kind of feature in high and low score of openness. Pretty similar to me. So in conclusion as i mentioned, the all results they got are very fit for me very much.
As for considering the major and job depends on those results,firstly, i will choose the major which i like ,which i have strong passion on it. Then i think the major or career which have more flexibility,variety,sociable,and some kinds of jobs which are dealing with the person instead of theory, concepts and project are more suitable for me. They give me a list of jobs which based on the MBTI task results in the course pack. According to the list of jobs and my interest, i am still consider in the Human Resources Mgr, but beside this one, almost all kinds of job i have strong interesting either. So it is so pleasure to see the reports which could strongly matched which type of person i am and which kinds of jobes i suit and like. Thanks for these few weeks courses.
